Note: Reel Nine Pictures is a fictional brand. This study shows the kind of brief we take and how we would approach it; it does not describe a real client or claim real results.

The brief

A small Chennai studio had a strong film, a modest budget and a crowded Friday release calendar.

01

The situation

A small Chennai studio had a strong film, a modest budget and a crowded Friday release calendar. Poster drops and countdown posts were not going to be enough to be heard.

02

Our approach

We would stage the release around the music: a single first, then an audio-launch moment built for Reels, with a teaser film cut for theatres, YouTube and OTT. Film reviewers and cinema YouTubers would get early screenings with no script, and entertainment desks would receive the story behind the film rather than a generic press note.

03

What we'd aim for

The aim: word of mouth that starts before release week, driven by people audiences already trust on Tamil cinema.

“Let the songs travel first.”

The line the campaign would be built around
